Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator specializing in Freight, Dock, and Yard Work In this energetic role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to facilitate efficient materials handling. Your expertise will help us maintain a well-organized and productive workspace while adhering to safety standards.

What you'll do

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials efficiently.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements.
  • Perform order picking tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and address any operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed for safety.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in warehouse distribution and materials handling.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations with a strong focus on shipping & receiving.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and materials handling.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy levels.
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to order picking and construction processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
