The
Accounting Operations Lead
is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization's financial records. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical professional who can work independently, improve processes, and support key accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly General Ledger close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as accruals, prepaids, and payroll-related items.
  • Support technical accounting areas, including tracking leases, fixed assets, and related schedules.
  • Lead process-improvement and automation efforts to streamline recurring accounting tasks.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Create standardized templates and documentation to improve team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus several years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills.
  • Preferred:
    Professional certification (e.g., CPA) or experience with reporting tools or automation technologies.
