Director of Corporate Initiatives

The Director of Corporate Initiatives is a strategic leader responsible for driving key enterprise-wide programs that strengthen IFAS' operational excellence, brand presence, and community impact. This role oversees initiatives that advance corporate compliance, quality, visibility, and engagement-both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional who can translate organizational priorities into action and sustained results. This position reports to the President of IFAS. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days onsite at IFAS HQ in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Compliance & Quality Management
- Lead and oversee IFAS' CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) efforts, including planning, governance, readiness assessments, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary champion for the Corporate Quality Management program ensuring adherence to quality standards, policies, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation.
Branding, Marketing, and Communications
- Direct the company's social media strategy and branding efforts, ensuring consistent, professional, and compelling representation of IFAS especially on LinkedIn.
- Manage corporate messaging, campaigns, and visual identity to support business development, recruiting, and employee awareness.
- Collaborate with IFAS leadership to ensure communications align with corporate goals.
Website Management
- Oversee the IFAS corporate website, ensuring timely updates, user-friendly design, strong content, and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams or external vendors on design enhancements, functionality improvements, and content strategy.
- Track analytics to optimize reach, usability, and performance.
Corporate Outreach and Engagement
- Lead corporate community outreach programs that reflect IFAS' values and commitment to public service.
- Build and maintain partnerships with nonprofit organizations, local institutions, and community leaders.
- Coordinate volunteer initiatives, philanthropic efforts, and community-focused campaigns.
Campus Engagement
- Develop and manage campus engagement strategies to expand IFAS' visibility with colleges, universities, and technical programs.
- Organize recruiting events, career fairs, and student outreach initiatives.
- Strengthen pipelines for internships, entry-level hiring, and early-career professional development.
Corporate Process Improvement
- Support and advance corporate process improvement efforts, including identifying gaps, recommending enhancements, and helping to implement efficient workflows.
- Partner with internal departments to streamline operations, standardize processes, and promote best practices across the company.
- Track improvement outcomes and report progress to executive leadership.
- Support the continuous identification and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
Other Duties as assigned
- Considering that this position is a new corporation role, other duties may also be assigned to support IFAS across the work enterprise to support both internal and external efforts.
