Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dispensary Manager to lead the daily operations at Diamond Dispensary. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep cannabis knowledge, and a passion for operational excellence and compliance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can inspire a team, uphold state regulations, and drive both performance and culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

· Oversee all daily store operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory control.

· Ensure full compliance with New York State cannabis regulations (age verification, purchase limits, reporting).

· Maintain product merchandising, cleanliness, and overall store presentation to reflect Diamond's brand standards.

2. Leadership & Team Development

· Recruit, train, and manage budtenders and support staff.

· Develop weekly staff schedules and manage coverage needs.

· Conduct regular team meetings, evaluations, and training to strengthen product knowledge and service.

· Build an inclusive, motivated workplace that reflects Diamond's community values.

3. Inventory & Compliance

· Manage all product intake, labeling, tracking, and storage in compliance with state regulations.

· Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

· Oversee POS and state reporting systems to ensure compliance and data integrity.

4. Customer Experience

· Deliver exceptional service by educating customers and tailoring recommendations to their needs.

· Handle escalated customer issues professionally and effectively.

· Support customer loyalty and education programs that strengthen community connection and repeat visits.

5. Sales & Financial Oversight

· Develop strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals through partnership, events, marketing, promotions and upselling.

· Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics.

· Manage payroll, cash flow, and budget performance responsibly.

6. Community & Brand Engagement

· Serve as a local brand ambassador, representing Diamond at neighborhood and cannabis community events.

· Develop community partnerships and events with local businesses and organizations.

· Support charitable and social impact initiatives tied to New York's cannabis ecosystem.

Qualifications

· Experience: 4+ years in retail, hospitality, or cannabis management.

· Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cannabis products, categories, and effects.

· Compliance: Familiarity with New York's cannabis regulations and reporting systems.

· Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational ability; proficiency with POS and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Education: High school diploma required; degree in business or related field preferred.

· Requirements: Must be 21+.

· Salary: $50,000 - $60,000, plus performance-based incentives
