Imperial Health is seeking a financial analyst on-site in Pasadena, CA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
  • Assist with compiling information for the actuarial company or internal department necessary for the CMS bid process and for all audits and examinations
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis to management, explore opportunities and risks that affect profitability, growth, productivity, and regulatory requirements to assist management with decision making
  • Lead new accounting system implementation project to replace QuickBooks
  • Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
  • Perform oversight of IPAs by obtaining and reviewing their financials
  • Communicate financial insights, suggesting business issues to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced with SQL queries
  • 2 - 3 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
