Overhead Catenary System Project Manager to join our Transit and Rail team in Seattle, WA

What You'll Be Challenged To Do
The OCS Principal Project Manager will be responsible for the project management and design of Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) for rail electrification projects throughout North America.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate end-user OCS requirements and criteria
- Serve as lead OCS designer and represent the firm's interests in developing and reviewing designs
- Develop and review cost estimates and projections
- Participate in project working meetings and suggest alternative designs in performing Value Engineering review and analysis.
- Provide suggestions to create adjustments as necessary to keep construction costs within budget. Prepare/review milestone design submittals
- Review contractor submittals and work closely with field force account labor on the installation of OCS components and software
- OCS designs will include pole foundations, structural steel elements, sectioning, OCS layouts of various configurations, cable and conduit routing, overhead wire profiling and support, complex load calculations, electrical and soil bearing data analysis and equipment and installation specifications
- Field support during construction may be required
Education | Experience:
What You Will Bring To Our Firm
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 15 years of experience in OCS engineering, including design-build and rehabilitation projects.
- Proven track record as OCS Lead or Task Leader on major infrastructure projects
- Expertise in 12-kV AC, 1500V DC, and 750V DC systems, including auto-tensioned and fixed termination catenary designs.
- Strong knowledge of staging, constructability, and electrification planning for complex rail corridors.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
What We Prefer You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with large national and international OCS projects
- Familiarity with transit agency standards and electrification codes.
- Background in structural analysis of OCS support systems and foundation
The salary range for this role is $235,000 - $250,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
