About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The title and role specifications are commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about risk management and possess a proven track record of working well in a team setting to promote the production of new accounts and retention of existing accounts. The ideal candidate will work on cross-selling and creatively execute successful marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality service to clients and prospective clients.
We are looking for someone with previous Account Manager experience in Commercial Lines (not with a carrier, i.e. Progressive or Cincinnati, or auto policy specific experience).

What You'll Do:

  • Set up new business and renewal submissions.
  • Prepare applications and request underwriting information needed; forward to the client
  • Order historical loss data
  • Prepare Specifications and Proposals
  • Review quotes; negotiate pricing/terms
  • Marketing/Binding, gathering additional information as required
  • Forward binders, COI's, EPI's. ID cards and invoices
  • Review/process policies when received
  • Update applications in EPIC with renewal information and subsequent changes
  • Review/process endorsements and policy audits when received
  • Billings/Invoicing/Accounting Discrepancies/Finance Agreements
  • Contract review as necessary; provide recommendations
  • Claims handling
  • Follow up on activities (daily) and cancellations
  • Prepare premium allocations
  • Stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Current Ohio P&C License required.
  • Proficiency in insurance industry software and tools (Preferably the Applied Systems Software Family).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Professional designations such CPRM, CPRIA, CIC, or CPCU are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be highly organized.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Prolonged periods working on a computer.
  • Must be able to attend meetings, conferences, and events as assigned.
