Job Description: Inside Sales Engineer

Cast Aluminum Solutions is seeking a high-energy, organized, Inside Sales Engineer for our Batavia location.

As part of our Sales and Marketing Team, you will play a key role in the growth of our business. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the sales process by providing technical guidance, generating quotes, and serving as a liaison between customers, sales team and other internal departments (engineering, supply chain, production). You will analyze complex industrial heating gas and fluid applications to ensure proper product selection, develop and cultivate new accounts, follow up on web-based leads, and be certain the needs of both the customer and of the business are met concurrently. You will collaborate with all levels during the sales process; customers, sales reps, product, and manufacturing teams, along with our senior management to achieve our goals and objectives for increased sales and market share for our line of circulation heaters and custom thermal products. This role combines technical acumen, customer service and business development skills to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, lead times, and technical product information

• Keep track of sales opportunities from outside sources and follow up on leads generated through our website. Take ownership of identifying/developing new opportunities.

• Prepare and follow-up on quotations to convert leads into orders

• Assist Outside Sales Engineers and Distributors (both domestically and internationally) by providing sales support, documentation and technical specifications.

• Use CRM/ERP Systems daily to record/report customer information in a timely manner.

• Establish strong rapports internally (with engineering, supply chain, customer service and outside sales engineers) to ensure timely delivery and resolutions of any issues with customers.

• Reviewing customer specifications and drawings, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost quotes and proposals in a timely manner. Collaborate, when necessary, with sales and engineering to resolve technical issues.

• Provide technical support both verbally and written to customers as needed for trouble shooting, providing technical data and information, and overall product information.

• Maintain expert level of product knowledge, applications (Heating of liquids and Gases for a variety of industries), and internal program management needs.

• Provide the Marketing department with information and feedback from customers.

• Organizational and writing skills to effectively prepare proposals and pricing while managing multiple projects in the developmental stage.

• Support through project management and scheduling all customers' request for quotation including new and existing customer's opportunities.

• Ensure quotations are completed with the highest level of accuracy. Ensure quotations are delivered to the appropriate sales channel with sufficient time to meet customer due dates.

• Support the development of final customer quotations and provide contract review for accuracy at the time of order entry.

• Perform other tasks and special projects as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• Engineering degree preferred (ME or EE), or equivalent technical experience

• 5 plus years of technical industrial sales experience.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills (written and verbal).

• Possess technical and analytical aptitude.

• Possess good business and financial acumen.

• Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).

• Very strong work ethic, being self-motivated and goal orientated as often you are responsible for your own productivity and results.

• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• A background in industrial thermal custom products and fluid dynamics is a plus with knowledge of thermal conductivity, heat transfer properties, understanding of amperage, wattage, voltage, and temperature sensors.

• Ability to read technical drawings and understand product specifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Salary:

• $80,000-90,000
