Business Analyst II

Job Summary:
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and successful delivery of software applications to design, implement, and optimize QMS and SAP functionalities by acting as a bridge between business needs and the technical implementation and testing phases. This role requires a blend of business acumen, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and documents quality assurance requirements and translate them into QMS and SAP QM configurations.
- Implements and supports QMS and SAP QM processes including inspection planning, quality notifications, and audit management.
- Collaborates with production, procurement, and compliance teams to integrate quality controls into operational workflows.
- Conducts gap analyses and recommend enhancements to existing SAP QM functionalities.
- Leads testing efforts for SAP QM modules, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitors system performance and resolves QMS and SAP-related quality issues.
- Trains end-users on QMS and SAP QM processes and best practices.
- Ensures alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP).
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, and 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment. Experience with ERP business analysis, SAP, and/or production control is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of SAP, QMS, and Quality Assurance processes.
- Working knowledge in quality assurance, process improvement, QMS, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in SAP configuration, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Quality Management), or similar, are highly desirable.
- May involve travel to production sites or global facilities for implementation and audits.
Work Environment:
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Primarily office based with flexibility for occasional remote work as needed.
- Periodic visits to manufacturing facilities with exposure to multiple hazards including but not limited to machinery, dust, fumes, and extreme heat and cold.
- May involve travel to production sites or global facilities for implementation, audits, and/or training.
