Job Title: Intermediate Bilingual Teacher
Job Description: Plan and teach a program of study in accordance with the philosophy and curriculum of AISD. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Establish and communicate clear objectives. Employ appropriate instructional methods and materials. Continually assess students' accomplishments. Counsel with colleagues, students and/or parents on a regular basis. Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures. Assist in implementing policies and rules. Maintain professional competence through in-service education. Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities. Implement classroom modifications for special education/504 students. Other duties as assigned.
Education Level Yrs: Bachelor Degree in any field
License or Certification: Appropriate valid Texas Teacher Certification for position or be enrolled in an alternative certification program and have passing, appropriate for position, TExES content scores. Must be able to speak, read and write Spanish fluently.
Hiring administrators review applications, interview, and recommend for hire.
Probationary contract – 187 days plus 4 days of Alief U professional development for a teacher new to the district
Salary Schedule
Minimum teacher salary is $66,500
Teacher Salary Schedule
Salary is based on 187 days. If working less than 187 days, the salary will be less.
