The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.
Job DescriptionThe Assistant Director of Food & Beverage assists in directing and controlling all aspects of the Food & Beverage operation in accordance with Omni standards, policies and procedures. This includes property beverage and restaurant operations, ensuring consistent beverage cost controls are in place as well as great associate and customer experiences. Along with supporting the hiring, training and supervision of all personnel, this person is expected to guide Food and Beverage leaders and staff to ensure prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards.
The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 78,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a lobby bar, tap house/sports bar, modern diner, pool bar, coffee shop and a retail venue.
ResponsibilitiesAssist Managers and Assistants to achieve highest possible standard of service and quality of product.Makes recommendations for the selection, training, promotion, discipline and termination of Restaurant, Banquet & Stewarding Staff. Conducts and reviews performance evaluations of Food & Beverage Managers and Assistants and is responsible for their development.Assists in establishing and implementing special programs to increase food and beverage revenues and maintain position within the region.Ensures F&B Department Heads fulfill supervisory responsibilities relating to proper scheduling, adherence to payroll procedures, training, supervision, evaluation, disciplining, and termination of F&B personnel.Ensures high standard of cleanliness through regular inspections of all F&B departments, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Monitors guest service in F&B areas to fulfill all corporate standards and achieve results on reports and guest comment analyses. Corrective action taken as needed.Implements programs to monitor and control labor costs, food and beverage costs and operating expenses to meet or exceed budgeted profit goals and achieve corporate retention standards.Establish and maintain close working relationship and effective communication flow to and from all other departments.Assists in developing budget for next fiscal year and consistently monitor financial reports to possible discrepancies to budget goals. Responsible for monthly profit and loss reports.Development of yearly budgets per department for Food and Beverage outlets.Qualifications
Candidate must have extensive hands-on beverage knowledge and experience including multiple outlets, banquet and/or event beverage, and Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities.Must have at least five years of experience as a Food and Beverage leader in a 4-diamond hotelStrong understanding of scheduling, productivity, inventory controls, P&L analysis, food and beverage cost controls.Strong computer and technical skills to include Micros and on-line purchasing systems. Detail orientated, basic mathematical skills and the ability to create and understand financial reports.Individual must be able to work in fast pace environment and multitask.Must have a proven track record of motivating managers and associates to meet and exceed goals and to provide the highest quality experience for our guests.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, high volume days and high-profile events.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.Minimum of 5 years experience in the hospitality industryTwo years as Food and Beverage Manager or Director of Restaurants preferredKnowledge of Micros requiredAbility to make quick decisions in high stress situations.Excellent Customer Service Skills requiredPleasant and positive personality required, must be able to communicate effectively to guests and other associatesWell organized and efficient, must be comfortable in fast paced, demanding environment.Must obtain and maintain a state issued alcohol license and training certificate.
