The Supply Chain and Intellectual Property Security (SCIPS) team is seeking for a Supply Chain Accountability Manager for its Kuiper Security Compliance team to spearhead inventory management programs in support of Amazon's Kuiper program. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing inventory control procedures at various locations worldwide, supporting program Kuiper goals. Project Kuiper aims to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband network connectivity to un-served and under-served communities globally. This role will have a regional reach, responsible for inventory control at all Kuiper facilities and Third-Party locations including contract manufacturing and critical suppliers worldwide. In this position, the Supply Chain Accountability Manager will have regular engagement with Kuiper Security and key stakeholders to identify risks within the supply chain. To be successful in this position, the candidate must have a deep understanding of brand & intellectual property protection, product lifecycle stages, supply chain and an ability to identify, track and influence performance indicators. This position requires a strong level of ownership and the ability to partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders, operate independently and with little supervision. This position will require onsite attendance within Amazon Corporate Offices as well as direct onsite support at Amazon 3rd party locations.
This position will report to the Kuiper Supply Chain Security Manager.
Key job responsibilities
- Accountability for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass-Production (MP) inventory control
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand for critical components.
- Implement best practices for inventory management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve inventory control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reduce losses.
- Track and document all instances of non-compliance at AMZ Kuiper Facilities and 3rd Party locations.
- Work cross functionally with peers in Legal, Hardware, Supply Chain Ops, Trade & Compliance, EHS, and Security to establish scalable Prototype Security standards
- Develop, draft and publish policies and standards related inventory control procedures for the Kuiper security program.
A day in the life
The Kuiper Supply Chain Security Team is dedicated to safeguarding Amazon's Intellectual Property (IP) by ensuring that every Contract Manufacturing (CM), Third-Party (3P) vendor, and 1P locations complies with Amazon's security standards throughout the manufacturing process. We achieve this by conducting risk-based assessments at each location, aggregating findings, managing remedial actions with 3Ps, and conducting complete inventory accountability for critical Kuiper material. These efforts ensure that our partners maintain the necessary security measures to protect Project Kuiper's IP and support the secure development of its products.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of auditing business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance or internal audits experience
- Work 40 hours a week
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- 5+ years of any combination of the following: application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience
- Travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Deep knowledge of Amazon's programs, including Project Kuiper and Lab126, or similar high-tech and innovation-driven projects.
- Proven track record in supply chain security, particularly in managing security compliance for third-party locations.
- Experience in high-risk environments or with critical suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and standards specific to prototype development and intellectual property protection.
- Experience with risk assessment and management tools, as well as security compliance software.
- Proven ability to operate independently, manage projects with minimal supervision, and exhibit strong ownership of security initiatives.
- Experience in leading security teams or managing cross-functional projects related to security compliance.
- Strong ability to analyze and track performance indicators, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- CPP, CPI, CISM, or PMP Certification
- TAPA Certified Auditor (FSR, TSR)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $173,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
