What you will do  

Candidate will lead, maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install 2 or more suppression product lines; emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer's specifications. 

How you will do it  

Make recommendations based on manufacturer's specification and state/local codes.  

Identify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site.  

Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations.  

Sell new accounts on the route based on the same compliance criteria.  

Meet or exceed quotas set forth by the direct supervisor.  

Call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services.  

Up-sell and cross-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations. 

What we look for  

Required:

Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organizational and communication skills.

Strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work with their hands, work safely from a ladder.

Technology skills, including intermediate expertise using email, Excel, and Smart Phone apps.

Be able to pass a background and drug screening and obtain security clearances as required.

Possess a valid drivers' license with a clean driving record.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

Experience with the service and sales of fire extinguishers and/or other suppression products preferred.

Fire Marshal licenses in Portable Extinguishers, Pre-Engineered Systems, and/or Engineered Systems OTW.

General background working with fire protection and life safety devices preferred.

Good understanding of building codes and regulations.

Skilled trade experience and/or education a plus. (Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical skills sets are all helpful in this line of work.)

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $14.42 – $21.63 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
