PURPOSE:  To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. 

JOB SUMMARY:  Operate the company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Load and unload laundry carts. Establish a professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service. Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre- and post-route inspections. Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules. Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Follow all company safety rules 
  • Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
  • Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
  • Follow all company policies and procedures 
  • Possess and maintain a positive attitude
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies
  • Deliver the product to our customers promptly
  • Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
  • Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
  • Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
  • Perform any other duties as the lead/manager sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs  
  • Perform equipment moves to the service provider for repairs and service as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Must be able to operate a manual vehicle
  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts(on wheels)
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class A driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record per company policy
  • Have at least two years of experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions
