Position Overview

The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight for all clinical operations across Dream Big Recovery's outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. This role ensures that all services meet California DHCS and Joint Commission standards for quality, ethics, and compliance.

This part-time leadership position includes supervision of clinical staff, approval of clinical documentation, limited client sessions, and support in program and curriculum development. The Clinical Director works closely with ownership to maintain operational excellence and a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all clinical operations and ensure compliance with DHCS, Joint Commission, and state/federal regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor all clinicians; provide guidance, support, and clinical supervision.
  • Review and approve assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a small client caseload (30–45 max) for therapy sessions as needed.
  • Collaborate with ownership to refine group curriculum, therapeutic activities, and clinical programming.
  • Conduct weekly clinical team meetings and training sessions.
  • Partner with the Medical Director and PA/NP to ensure integrated care and treatment coordination.
  • Prepare and assist with audits, inspections, and certifications.
  • Maintain clinical metrics and uphold documentation and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC).
  • Active, unrestricted California license in good standing.
  • Minimum 10 years in behavioral health treatment; 5 years in a Clinical Director or equivalent role.
  • Strong understanding of DHCS, Joint Commission, and Title 9 requirements.
  • Proven leadership in clinical compliance, quality management, and team supervision.
  • Compassionate, organized, and aligned with a client-centered approach.

Schedule & Terms

  • Part-time, 3 days/week (on-site in Palm Desert).
  • At-will employment.
  • Compensation: $60,000/month.
  • Opportunity for expanded leadership as the program grows.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
