Summary
ACORE CAPITAL, a rapidly growing Investment Advisory Firm, is seeking a highly motivated Analyst/Associate with at least 3 years of commercial real estate experience to join our expanding Asset Management team. This position will support both the REO Asset Management team and the Asset Management Operations team, offering exposure to a wide range of commercial real estate asset-level and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring experience in property accounting, commercial loan servicing and real estate operations. This is an in-office role based in Dallas, Texas, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Asset Management.
Responsibilities
REO Accounting
- Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of REO assets, across all property types (office, industrial, hotel, retail, & multi-family)
- Work on initial REO checklist including, but not limited to;
- Initiate Servicer Direction letters coordinate cash management and deposit account closings
- Facilitate property manager accounting setup including beginning balances, first month transactions and cash reconciliation
- Letter of Credit transfers from previous borrower as required
- Analyze monthly property level financials: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, General, A/P, and A/R ledgers
- Annual operating and capital budget reviews
- Review property managers annual CAM reconciliations
- Review funding requests from property managers and/or vendors, setup wires, notify accounting team of fundings
- Facilitate REO investor reporting requirements; receipt and delivery to investors, facilitate responses to ad hoc questions
- Facilitate ad hoc requests from Asset Managers including Transfer Tax Calculations and Surety Bonds
- Assist with audit requests
Operations
- Prepare annual guarantor net worth and liquidity calculations for Asset Managers review/approval
- Prepare tax and insurance escrow analysis as requested by Asset Managers.
- Assist with audit requests
- Facilitate preparation of quarterly investor presentation decks.

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, related field(s), or equivalent industry experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required
- 2-5+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, portfolio management, loan operations, or REO property accounting preferred. Recent graduates may be considered if they meet other key requirements
- Yardi experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to proactively identify and flag concerns
- Demonstrated track record of excellence with a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross functionally.
- Great team player with good judgment and effective written and verbal communications skills; interacts well with teammates and external parties at all levels
- Exceptional character, personal integrity, and work ethic
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, highly accurate; excellent time management skills; able to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively handle multiple competing and time sensitive deadlines and priorities
Compensation
