About the Company:
Wellstart Medical ("Wellstart" or the "Company") was founded in 2019 solely to improve diabetes DME care. Wellstart is a direct to consumer provider of continuous glucose monitors, insulin pump supplies, and other diabetes testing supply products. The Company provides patients with education, support, and access to a fast, simple, and reliable way to obtain diabetes supplies on a recurring basis.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth in the Virginia market. This role is ideal for a motivated, results-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The BDR will serve as a key liaison between Wellstart and healthcare providers, patients, and manufacturing partners, promoting our services and expanding our customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and certified diabetes educators.
- Collaborate with manufacturer representatives to support referral generation, documentation, and insurance verification processes.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new patient referrals.
- Track referral activity, maintain accurate sales records, and prepare performance reports for management.
- Set and achieve weekly/monthly sales targets and contribute to growth projections for new territories.
- Represent Wellstart at relevant industry events, webinars, virtual meetings, and conventions to promote our brand and services.
- Distribute educational materials, training tools, and promotional resources to healthcare professionals.
- Stay current with industry developments, competitive offerings, and the evolving diabetes care landscape.

Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years of medical or pharmaceutical inside or outside sales experience.
- Experience selling continuous glucose monitors or insulin pumps a plus, but not a requirement.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
