Compensation for this role:

Pay Range: $28.19-$33.83 per hour, depending upon experience

Additional Pay Opportunities:

• Bilingual Pay Differential ? additional $3 per hour pay premium for employees who utilize a qualifying second language in the workplace, applicable to all hours worked.

Position Status: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 43 weeks per year; evenings, weekends, and extended hours may be required.

Location: On-site in classrooms across five ECEAP sites

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?

YWCA Spokane ECEAP is looking for an Early Learning Coach who will provide classroom-focused, evidence-based coaching, professional development, and technical assistance to ECEAP site teams to improve teaching practice, child outcomes, family partnerships, and site compliance with ECEAP Performance Standards. The Coach will work directly in classrooms, model strategies, coach staff using reflective practice, support program-level improvement planning, and coordinate with Early Achievers / QRIS partners.

Coaching and Professional Development

• Providing strengths-based, developmentally appropriate coaching to ECEAP teachers and assistant teachers through on-site observation, modeling, co-teaching, feedback cycles, and action planning.
• Providing job-embedded professional development (e.g., small group workshops, in-service STARS trainings) that includes culturally responsive and anti-bias practices.
• Assisting classrooms in implementing curriculum and assessment practices (e.g., alignment with the Washington Early Learning and Development Guidelines, Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum) using classroom observation tools and child data to guide coaching goals.

Quality Improvement and Standards Implementation

• Supporting implementation of the ECEAP Performance Standards across domains (Teaching & Learning, Data & Assessment) and help sites prepare for monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Working with five ECEAP classrooms to progress through Washington?s Early Achievers Quality Rating & Improvement System (providing technical assistance, coaching for QRIS indicators, and documentation).
• Using child outcome data, CLASS, ERS, and curriculum fidelity tools to guide improvement strategies.

Collaboration and Communication

• Participating in collaborative meetings with site leadership to support program goals and quality improvement.
• Attending monthly coaching meetings to coordinate with local Early Achievers administrators and community partners. Maintaining collaborative communication with site leadership, contractors, and Early Achievers administrators.

Data, Documentation, and Reporting

• Maintaining accurate coaching records, progress notes, and required documentation in agency systems (e.g., MERIT for Training hours, IMPACT, or local data systems).
• Using the Coach Educator Community Interface (CECI) to:
• Completing activities tied to Early Achievers Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
• Accessing coaching resources and professional development opportunities.
• Providing virtual coaching support to staff.
