Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and be proficient in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax documents and filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments through Paychex.
  • Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with established policies.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Payment Processing: Handling Ach Payments, Including Generating Payment Registers.
  • Run credit reports.
  • Data Entry for new accounts
  • Process ACH Payments and communication

Requirements

  • Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation and understanding of financial concepts.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NECS
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members across departments.
  • Previous experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position is a plus.
