Responsibilities

  • You will provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
  • We expect you to assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring the comfort and privacy of each individual.
  • You shall engage individuals in recreational and leisure activities, promoting social interaction and overall well-being.
  • We expect you to follow established protocols and procedures for medication administration, accurately documenting all medications given.
  • You will assist individuals in meal planning, preparation, and feeding, considering their dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • We expect you to promote a safe and clean environment by maintaining cleanliness standards, organizing living spaces, and performing light housekeeping duties.
  • You shall effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals involved in the care of individuals, providing updates and participating in meetings as required.
  • We expect you to observe and report any significant changes in an individual's behavior, health, or emotional status to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.

Requirements

  • As a Direct Support Provider at Lifes Good Stay Here, you must have strong communication skills to effectively interact and engage with individuals we support and their families.
  • You should be able to demonstrate empathy and compassion in your interactions, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each individual.
  • You must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, finding creative solutions to address any issues or concerns that may arise for our clients.
  • It is essential that you have strong organizational skills, allowing you to efficiently manage schedules, appointments, and documentation related to the care and support provided.
  • You should have the ability to maintain a positive and supportive environment, fostering independence and encouraging personal growth for the individuals we serve.
  • You must be flexible and adaptable, as our clients' needs may change over time. This includes being open to learning new approaches and techniques to enhance the support you provide.
