Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance, with a strong commitment to providing excellent service to residents. The Maintenance Technician will perform daily repairs, preventative maintenance, and apartment turns to ensure the community is safe, functional, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a customer-first attitude.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance work.
  • Assist with apartment turns, including painting, cleaning, flooring, and appliance installation/repair.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, building systems, and common areas.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with building codes and company standards.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to complete larger projects and community-wide repairs.
  • Provide on-call support for after-hours emergencies as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in maintenance, preferably in multifamily housing or residential property management.
  • Hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • EPA certification for HVAC (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to use maintenance tools, power equipment, and follow technical instructions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for rotating on-call and weekend shifts.
