Mechanical Conveyor Lead/Foreman Position Overview

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Installation Lead to oversee the installation and commissioning of complex automated systems. This position requires strong technical ability, effective leadership across diverse teams, and a commitment to maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience reading prints, managing installations, coordinating layouts, and leading crews of varying skill levels within a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment. Auto-Tech certified A huge PLUS.

Mechanical Conveyor Lead/Foreman Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and prints.
  • Oversee installation layout, preplanning, and on-site execution of material handling systems.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule through daily management and effective communication.
  • Lead and mentor crews with varying skill levels and personalities.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to address site challenges.
  • Maintain jobsite safety and quality control standards.
  • Report progress and site issues accurately and promptly to supervisors.

Mechanical Conveyor Lead/Foreman Compensation & Schedule (While with S3)

  • Pay Rate: $32/hr
  • Per Diem: $120/day
  • Schedule: ~58 hours per week (5x10s + 8 hours on Saturday)

Mechanical Conveyor Lead/Foreman Compensation & Schedule (once hired in after 5 months)

  • $35/hr
  • $158/day per diem
  • 401k - 5% match
  • Medical, dental, vision
  • Paid travel time to go home once every month or bimonthly

Mechanical Conveyor Lead/Foreman Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical conveyor installation, construction, or industrial equipment assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Auto Tech experience (or cert) preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours.
  • Must pass a 10-panel drug test.
  • Must pass a background check (no violent or child-related offenses; other factors reviewed case-by-case).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 58 – 60 per week
