We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our renowned Michelin starred restaurant. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the exceptional guest experience that our establishment is known for. Working closely with the General Manager, you will uphold our standards of excellence, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Work alongside the General Manager to create and maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

  • Oversee the implementation of exceptional service standards and ensure they are consistently met by the front-of-house team.
  • Monitor guest feedback and address any concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Staff Management:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.

  • Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service and uphold the highest levels of professionalism.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

  • Operational Excellence:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with the restaurant's goals and objectives.

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth service flow, quality control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and special events to optimize guest flow and maximize revenue.

  • Financial Management:

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, revenue goals, and cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.

  • Monitor inventory levels, track expenses, and implement strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to analyze financial reports and implement adjustments to optimize financial performance.

  • Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with guests, suppliers, and vendors to enhance the restaurant's reputation and service offerings.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional initiatives and special events to attract new customers and drive repeat business.
  • Network and engage with industry professionals to stay updated on trends and identify potential partnerships or collaborations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a high-end restaurant, preferably in a Michelin starred establishment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of food, wine, and beverage pairings, with a passion for delivering an elevated dining experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact confidently with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
  • In-depth understanding of restaurant operations, including reservations systems, POS software, and health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
