Position: Warehouse & Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Islip, NY - (Onsite from Day 1)

Duration: 6 Months - (Contract to Hire)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Supply Chain Specialist to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory management, procurement coordination, and logistics within a pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharma warehouse management systems (WMS), regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and GDP guidelines for pharmaceutical handling and storage.
  • Coordinate procurement, supplier management, and purchase order tracking.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to minimize cost and improve delivery timelines.
  • Manage cold chain logistics, batch tracking, and product traceability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborate with QA, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Lead and train warehouse staff to maintain safety and efficiency standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Experience with batch/lot management and controlled substance handling.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, GDP).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cold chain and temperature-controlled logistics.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma practices.
  • Certification in Supply Chain (APICS CSCP/CPIM or equivalent).
