Warehouse Lead / Equipment Mechanic
We are looking for a Warehouse / Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
Seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our family-owned business team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, not afraid to get dirty, and is comfortable operating & repairing typical construction equipment and tools. Warehouse Lead / Equipment Mechanic
This position will be based out of our shop operations located in McFarland, WI.
Responsibilities include:
- Repair construction equipment in the shop and onsite as needed.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical & electrical on construction equipment and fleet vehicles.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections on equipment.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance follow OSHA, DOT, and manufacturer standards.
- Test equipment to verify success of repairs.
- Use basic computer skills to look up parts, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Maintain a safe and orderly working area.
- Collaborate with project managers and field crews to address equipment needs quickly.
- Communicate with office regarding major repairs, downtime and budget needs.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices in performing all work assignments.
- Organize, stock and maintain warehouse.
- Basic housekeeping.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' mechanical experience
- Forklift certification required.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required to meet company insurance standards.
- Experience with diagnosing mechanical issues
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying motivated to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to lift, move, or carry material up to 50lbs on a consistent basis
- Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details
- Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven team player
