Compensation Details:

$20-$25 per hour.

Job Description:

About This Role

This is the entry level position within this series and at this level you are expected to perform repairs, installations, and improvements in a variety of trades under the direction of a lead technician or maintenance supervisor.

What You'll Do

• On a daily basis, receives assigned work order to complete on equipment.
• Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information into CMMS system for completion and tracking.
• Performs minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses.
• Performs minor carpentry and repair work.
• Maintain equipment and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimum working order.
• Assist with all types of equipment movement, cubicle, and office furniture repairs.
• Applies paint, varnish, and stain to all types of surfaces to protect and beautify surfaces using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Replacing belts on motors, changing filters, bearings, etc.
• Assists in servicing and replacing minor plumbing fixtures and drain rodding.
• May discuss equipment operation variations with managers or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair the equipment.
• Provide coverage for shipping and receiving activities in Woodridge warehouse location.

Required Skills

• Mechanical ability & able to use power & hand tools
• Skilled in drywall installation & finishing
• Skilled in all types of painting
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Plumbing
• Familiar in use of automated maintenance programs ( CMMS )
• Carpentry skills
• Ability to lift 75lbs and push/pull 150lbs.
• Ability to walk & stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, work on elevated platforms, climb up & down ladders, work at elevated heights.
