Job Summary:

Do you love solving tough technical puzzles and keeping critical systems running at their best? As an Electrical / I&C Maintenance Technician at Centrus Energy, you'll be the hands-on expert ensuring both our centrifuge machines and facility infrastructure systems perform flawlessly. From drive controls to overhead cranes, lighting to security electronics-you'll tackle a wide variety of systems that keep our operations powered, safe, and efficient. If you enjoy working with your hands, thinking on your feet, and collaborating with a skilled team, this role is your chance to shine.

What You Will Do:

Perform maintenance, modification, and repair on centrifuge machine electrical systems (drive control, heat trace, tempered water, vacuum, flow control, process gas monitoring, and more). Keep our facility infrastructure reliable by servicing electrical systems including building power, UPS, backup generators, cranes, HVAC, lighting, fire protection, and security electronics. Plan jobs with safety and quality at the forefront while coordinating within our Work Planning and Control system. Collaborate with a diverse team to meet schedule and cost goals, all while keeping critical testing operations on track.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion/certification of a 5-year electrical apprenticeship program.
  • 5+ years' experience in electrical and control system installation, maintenance, diagnostics, modification, and repair.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance
A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Journeyman Electrician status.
  • 10+ years experience in electrical and control system work.
  • Demonstrated computer aptitude and technical skills.
  • Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
