About the job

We are seeking an AI Architect to join their team in Erie, PA. We are looking for a senior data scientist/agentic AI architect with heavy ML/MLops experience (strong Python) who can evaluate and implement models that are provided by the enterprise and act as Lead Engineer. We are really searching for someone who can analyze the models and select which model can be used for which situation. The Senior/Lead ML Engineer will need deep ML knowledge but will not be building models from scratch, but potentially making them more efficient, implementing them, analyzing them and assisting with metrics and future plans with a focus on agentic AI (workflows).

Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and development of an Agentic AI platform
2. Architect and implement core systems for agent-based AI workflows
3. Design and deploy LLM-based pipelines, agent orchestration, and vector-based memory systems,
4. Develop and optimize ML models, pipelines, and orchestration logic
5. Ensure the integration and compatibility of network, IDAM (Identity and Access Management), Active Directory, key vaults, and other security-related components within the self-service platform.
6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on leveraging the self-service platform for their AI-based initiatives.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish metrics for measuring the effectiveness and adoption of the self-service platform with improved developer experience.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to cloud computing, DevOps, network, security, and platform modernization.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's / master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python is essential.
3. Agentic AI : Expertise in LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel/Autogen and Open AI Agentic SDK
4. Machine Learning Frameworks: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and AutoML; Deep expertise in machine learning, system architecture, and AI agent frameworks to build scalable, autonomous systems
5. Generative AI: Hands-on experience with generative AI models, RAG architecture, and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
6. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS
7. Data Engineering: Proficiency in data preprocessing and feature engineering
8. Version Control: Experience with GitHub for version control
9. Data Science Practices: Skills in building models, testing/validation, and deployment
10. Collaboration: Experience working in an Agile framework
11. RAG Architecture: Experience with data ingestion, data retrieval, and data generation using optimal methods such as hybrid search
12. Understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, and others.
13. Knowledge in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform,.
14. Understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.
15. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
16. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automated testing.
17. Experience in network architecture, IDAM (Identity and Access Management), Active Directory, key vaults, and other network, security-related components.
18. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
19. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
