Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests experience a welcoming and pristine environment. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing housekeeping staff, developing cleaning protocols, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote efficiency and quality in cleaning practices.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel or facility.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and janitorial practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with staff and guests.
  • Previous hotel experience is highly desirable, along with custodial experience in various settings.
