About this job\: 

The Senior Analyst, Sample Operations works closely with the Manager, Sample Operations and the Sample Leadership team to transform data into critical information and knowledge. This data will be used to assist Merchant Leadership understand key details and trends on product approval and issue rates.  The Senior Analyst is an innovator for data and analysis, explaining data-driven insights in a way that is easily understood. They take pride in their craft and enjoy building informative, reliable data summaries and dashboards. They are excited about data's impact on businesses, are curious and can hustle in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Work with cross-functional partners to identify product based insights that support key merchant activities like assortment planning and vendor selection. 
• Perform analysis using disparate sources of data to inform stakeholders. 
• Present findings to Merchant and Sample Team leadership to share actionable insights. 
• Use data analysis tools (e.g. – MicroStrategy and Excel) to develop product performance insights for all levels of the organization.  Analyze data to identify trends and root causes in merchant and vendor controlled processes.  Summarize and prepare findings for both executive and operational team use.  Provide similar support and analysis for the Product Technical Services Team. 
• Work independently to perform ad hoc data pulls and analysis to solve one-off data inquiries.  This includes using existing reporting tools as well as learning potentially new tools. 
• Assess new analytical needs for the merchants, Sample Team and Technical Services Team.  This includes determining ways to improve existing data views as well as what new insights and analytics are needed. 
• Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end analytics process.  Look for ways to improve the speed and quality that information is pulled and delivered. 
•  Manage up effectively. 

Qualifications\: 

• Bachelor's Degree 
• 4 – 6 years of data analytics experience 
• Strong data management skills and experience presenting findings in the form of reports, dashboards and other communications  
• Experience managing and analyzing large datasets in Microsoft Excel or other BI and/or data visualization tools 
• Passion for analytics, working with data and deriving insights to answer business stakeholder questions and drive actions and decision-making 
• Organizationally and operationally savvy 
• Ability think critically and strategically 
• Relationship builder with internal teams and executives at senior levels 
• Able to translate complex analytics/data sciences concepts in terms that are easily understood and accessible to Merchants at various levels of seniority and sophistication with the material 
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong detail orientation is essential in this role 
• A team player and self-starter
