Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager to support firmwide initiatives, enhance client engagement, and implement strategies that align with the firm's long-term goals. This role works closely with firm leadership and attorneys to drive growth, manage marketing projects, and oversee business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with firm leadership to design and implement marketing and business development strategies.
  • Guide attorneys in executing individual business development plans and tracking progress.
  • Create tailored proposals, pitch materials, and RFP responses.
  • Oversee updates to firm marketing collateral, website content, and attorney bios.
  • Conduct research on prospective clients, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Manage CRM system data, activity tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead submissions for industry rankings, awards, and legal directories.
  • Coordinate firm events, including invitations, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new lateral attorneys.
  • Identify sponsorships, speaking engagements, and other opportunities to raise firm visibility.
  • Oversee projects with clear deliverables, timelines, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (J.D., MBA, or similar) a plus.
  • 5+ years of law firm business development/marketing experience, ideally with litigation teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM platform experience (InterAction preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Washington, DC.

  • Hybrid schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
