Senior Ballet Corporate Director

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Ballet Corporate Director to lead our ballet program and oversee the development and execution of dance education initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ballet, curriculum development, and teaching, with a passion for fostering artistic growth in students of all ages. This leadership role involves managing classroom environments, mentoring instructors, and coordinating performances and community outreach efforts to promote the art of ballet within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive ballet curricula tailored for various age groups, including children, teens, and adults.
- Oversee classroom management to ensure a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment.
- Lead and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on lesson planning, choreography, and performance techniques.
- Coordinate scheduling of classes, rehearsals, and performances to maximize participation and community engagement.
- Manage student progress through assessments, feedback sessions, and personalized coaching.
- Organize special events such as showcases, workshops, and community outreach programs to promote ballet awareness.
- Collaborate with theater production teams for stage performances and productions.
- Incorporate additional skills such as photography for promotional materials or documentation of performances.
- Support early childhood education initiatives related to dance and movement development.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, special education needs, and innovative teaching methods.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism while fostering a creative environment that encourages artistic expression.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in ballet instruction with a strong background in choreography and performance.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for dance education at various levels.
- Experience working with children, preschoolers, or students with special needs; familiarity with childhood development principles is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of theater production processes related to dance performances.
- Skills in lesson planning tailored for both children's early childhood education and adult learners.
- Additional competencies such as sewing for costume design or culinary experience for event catering are considered assets but are not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster collaborative relationships within the organization.
