SUMMARY:

Van Ness Creative Strategies is looking for vertical video editors with ungodly amounts of screentime for our Social Video Editor role.

If you have at least 1-2 years of experience working in video editing (personal social experience counts) and are interested in helping Democrats win elections while being mentored by world class political admakers, this position is for you

This role will include:

→ Scripting, filming, and editing TikToks/Reels and other short-form social media videos

→ Being obsessed with the latest TikTok trends

→ Assisting in strategic content strategy for progressive organizations, candidates, and causes

Ideal candidates will have experience:

→ Editing in Capcut, Premiere, Edits, or in-platform

→ Brainstorming ways to convey complicated messaging on social media

→ Fitting social trends to appropriate messengers

We're looking to empower you as part of our team – to help you grow and bring creative ideas to the table. You'll have the runway to stretch beyond the job description.

This position pays $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience. We operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Brooklyn loft offices (in office Mondays and Wednesdays), but are open to DC-based candidates for the right candidates.

VNCS is a Brooklyn-based Democratic digital strategy firm.

We work with organizations dedicated to progressive issue-based advocacy, electoral PACs/Independent Expenditures — as well as Democratic candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $65,000.00 per year
