Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in a designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales and management, with proven expertise in business development and account management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively drive B2B sales, manage customer relationships, and leverage technology to enhance sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the assigned region.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance on best practices in territory management and lead generation.
- Foster strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities through cold calling and direct sales efforts.
- Conduct product demos and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value of our offerings.
- Utilize CRM software, such as Salesforce, to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotional strategies with sales goals, ensuring effective messaging for target markets.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profitability while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the existing client base.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales management with a focus on B2B environments.
- Strong background in business development, account management, and territory sales strategies.
- Familiarity with technology sales and the ability to conduct technical product demonstrations effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) for managing customer relationships and tracking sales activities.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret data trends and drive informed decision-making.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in lead generation techniques and cold calling strategies is highly desirable.
