Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen and dining areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and following established recipes.
  • Cook meals according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling procedures, and hygiene practices to prevent contamination.
  • Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on operational needs.
  • Ensure all food service activities comply with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Assist with catering events or special meal services as needed to provide excellent customer experiences.

Skills

  • Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within the food industry or restaurant settings.
  • Proven culinary experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant environments preferred.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards essential for maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers professionally.
