Position Summary

We're seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to developing into a well-rounded tax professional. You'll assist in preparing individual and business tax returns, support senior team members, and gain hands-on experience with complex client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual (Form 1040) and business (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S) tax returns under supervision.
  • Assist with year-end workpapers, tax adjustments, and trial balance reconciliations.
  • Organize and maintain client files and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with clients to gather missing information and clarify data.
  • Research basic tax issues and stay current on relevant law changes.
  • Collaborate with CPAs and senior team members to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
  • Utilize firm technology including UltraTax CS, QuickBooks Online, and SafeSend.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation preferred (internship experience considered).
  • Actively pursuing or intending to pursue CPA or EA designation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
