Job Summary

We're hiring a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to keep our financials clean, current, and audit-ready while supporting day-to-day office execution. This role touches billing, collections, job documentation, vendor payments, payroll support, and dispatch/admin coordination. If you like order, accuracy, and staying ahead of chaos, you'll fit.

Compensation (Competitive Pay + Bonuses)

  • Pay range: $20–$25/hr .

Duties

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoice workflows, vendor payments, and customer receivables
  • Perform bank + credit card reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation
  • Prepare journal entries, analyze accounts, and support financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate records for job invoices (tow tickets, storage, releases, lien/impound documentation as applicable)
  • Utilize tools like QuickBooks / Xero / Sage (and learn our towing stack like Towbook if needed)
  • Support payroll processing and basic tax-related admin tasks (within proper compliance)
  • Assist with budgeting and simple reporting (weekly cash flow snapshot, A/R aging, payables list)
  • Handle admin support: data entry, filing, correspondence, scheduling, and back-office coordination
  • Keep digital records organized and ready for audits, insurance, or contracting requirements

Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero/Sage/Quicken (or comparable)
  • Strong grasp of GAAP fundamentals, debits/credits, double-entry bookkeeping
  • Confidence with reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, A/R, A/P)
  • Organized, detail-first, reliable follow-through
  • Solid communication (you'll work with dispatch + management + vendors)
  • Bonus points if you've supported service businesses (towing, trucking, automotive, field services)

Pay: $ $29.31 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
