Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Beauty Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for beauty and cosmetics, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients. This role involves assisting customers with beauty needs. Creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business. Experience with retail sales, social media management, and proficiency in salon software are highly valued. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse clientele effectively.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly at the front desk and provide personalized consultations
  • Assist clients in selecting beauty and cosmetic services tailored to their needs
  • Conduct product demonstrations and makeup applications to showcase product benefits
  • Offer nail services, make-up, hair services, facial massage and stress relief massage. Would like to eventually offer pedicure/manicure.
  • Manage sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Millennium or similar salon software
  • Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain organized stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
  • Manage social media platforms to promote products, special offers, and events
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in-person interactions
  • Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and client check-in/out
  • Assist with visual merchandising to create appealing displays that attract customers
  • Stay informed about new products, trends, and techniques in the beauty industry

Requirements

  • Proven experience in beauty & cosmetics
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are advantageous
  • Proficiency in makeup application, product demos, and skincare consultations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for retail math calculations and cash handling procedures
  • Familiarity with social media management for promotional activities
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strong time management skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette and positive attitude
  • Experience with merchandising, stocking, and front desk operations is desirable
  • Cosmetology background or certification is a plus but not required
