Discover why Kalamazoo is a sought-after destination for Michigan nursing jobs—enjoy a welcoming community, beautiful parks, and a vibrant downtown during your 13-week travel assignment.Travel Nursing Job DetailsLocation:Kalamazoo, Michigan (49048)Unit:3N Cardiovascular Unit – Cardiac TelemetryEmployment Type:Travel RN ContractStart Date:December 8, 2025End Date:March 9, 2026Duration:13 weeksEstimated Weekly Salary:$1890 - $1940Shift:3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 – 07:30)Hours per Week:36 (Guaranteed)Weekend Requirement:Every other weekendHoliday Requirement:Must work 2 out of 3 holidaysScrub Color:Caribbean BlueCharting System:Cerner PowerchartRegistered Nurse QualificationsMinimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry RN experienceActive Registered Nurse license (Michigan or compact state, or willing to obtain)Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted)Experience with Cerner charting requiredMust reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as neededComplete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signingCardiac Telemetry RN ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest painMonitor patients on cardiac telemetry and manage cardiac drips (no titration required)Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound careInterpret cardiac dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teamsFloat to similar units or affiliate hospitals as neededMaintain professional conduct and adhere to all unit and hospital policiesExperience the best of southwest Michigan while advancing your nursing career in a supportive healthcare environment.
