DME and Fracture Care Coordinator
Full Time | Outpatient Medical Practice
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented DME and Fracture Care Coordinator to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for fitting and dispensing durable medical equipment, assisting with fracture care tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, and helping maintain smooth patient flow. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic and enjoys patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit and dispense braces, boots, slings, crutches, and other DME items
- Provide patient education on equipment use and care
- Assist with splinting, casting supplies, and fracture care workflows
- Document all DME and fracture care services accurately in the EHR
- Enter correct codes, modifiers, and charges
- Maintain DME and casting inventory and coordinate vendor orders
- Communicate with providers and billing team regarding documentation needs
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and families
Qualifications
- Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred
- Experience with DME or orthopedics is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Good communication and patient service skills
