As a Senior Business Project Manager, Right of Way Acquisition Services, you will collaborate with real estate staff, technical and/or clerical personnel engaged in all activities related to Right of Way Acquisition for federal, state and local authorities, other consulting engineering firms and utility and other private companies. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a strong sense of professional accountability. What You'll Do:

Located in Columbus, OH and reporting to our Leader Operations Right of Way, you will work with many different ms team members within the company.

Major areas of responsibility will include:

  • Understanding and use of legal descriptions, and R/W & construction plans, preparation or management of title research, appraisals, relocation assistance, acquisition/negotiations, closings, appropriation coordination, property management, and new alignment acquisitions
  • Knowledge and expertise in all R/W acquisition activities, which will be performed in conformance with client requirements, the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Act, and all state and local rules and regulations
  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring projects from inception to completion
  • Aiding & guidance to clients on all R/W acquisition activities and project management
  • Managing staff and sub-consultants in the procurement of right of way parcels and project clearance
  • Representing ms Right of Way group in staff, business development & project meetings.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports & budget requests
  • Managing and tracking project budgets, and completing monthly invoices in conjunction with accounting staff
  • Involvement with Business Development and tracking project leads
  • Meeting with clients and property owners for purposes of reviewing and managing projects acquiring Right of Way
  • Making onsite visits to inspect properties, appraise properties, negotiate & provide relocation assistance benefits
  • Performing title research at courthouses, attending closings, providing utility construction management and restoration management and clearing R/W corridors

We have a variety of projects coming through the door, so we are looking for someone with versatility and the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects and priorities. We are a strong, nimble team so it is important for us to find someone who is able to understand scope and deadlines and be able to execute results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience managing Right of Way projects: must include working with OR within a state's Department of Transportation
  • Full understanding of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act
  • Prior experience with creating/maintaining project schedules and managing budgets
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in English
  • Valid Driver's License
