Right of Way Acquisition Agent, Transportation

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Acquisition agent in our Right of Way group. You will perform acquisition services for both public and private clients including, but not limited to, appraisal reports, negotiations and closings. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrate initiative, and possess strong communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Perform right-of-way acquisitions per project guidelines and regulations
• Complete property valuations using ODOT (or equivalent) forms and following our clients' policies and procedures
• Prepare legal documents, reports and correspondence, attend meetings, enter and retrieve computer data
• Effectively negotiate with private landowners and governmental agencies for the acquisition of various land rights

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work experience
• Title Research experience, is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Properties Acquisition Policies Act of 1970
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must possess a Valid Ohio Driver's License
• Must be a current Ohio Notary or be able to obtain within 6 months
