About the Role
Ticket Takedown and law firm partner MM Legal Group are seeking licensed North Carolina attorneys to serve as the exclusive regional attorney for traffic matters within a defined geographic area of North Carolina.
This role is remote, but most cases will require in-person court appearances. Our model is designed around court-date consolidation — you will work closely with our operations team to group multiple cases on the same court date, push appearance dates when appropriate, and resolve matters efficiently in batches.
Ticket Takedown handles all administrative work, including client communication, filings, payments, scheduling, and document preparation. You focus on court appearances and negotiations — no paperwork, no billing, no client management.
This role is ideal for attorneys seeking predictable, capped supplemental income with minimal overhead and a limited number of court days per month.
Regional Coverage (One Attorney per Region)
Applicants will be considered if able to provide coverage over all or majority of the following counties in what we consider internally as
Region 4 – Eastern NC (Inner Coastal Plain + Northeast)
Counties:
Pitt, Wilson, Wayne, Lenoir, Greene, Edgecombe, Nash, Halifax, Northampton, Currituck, Pasquotank, Camden, Gates, Perquimans, Chowan, Hertford, Bertie, Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Beaufort, Dare, Hyde
Compensation: $1,500-$2500 per month based on coverage and experience.
Responsibilities
- Make in-person court appearances for traffic matters within your assigned region
- Handle virtual appearances where available
- Collaborate with Ticket Takedown's team to:
- Identify days you are available for court
- Consolidate multiple cases on the same court date
- Push court dates when appropriate to improve batching and efficiency
- Review prepared case summaries before appearances
- Negotiate plea offers or amendments with prosecutors
- Provide professional, ethical representation
(No client intake, filings, billing, or scheduling required.)
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Bar license (required)
- Ability to attend courts within the assigned region
- Reliable transportation for in-person appearances
- Strong courtroom presence and professional judgment
- Comfortable working remotely and coordinating schedules digitally
- Traffic court experience preferred but not required
Compensation & Workload
- Independent contractor role
- Flat monthly compensation based on region (listed above)
- Compensation is not tied to case volume
- Case volume rarely exceed ~50 cases per month per region and appear by dates are normally far in the future.
- Workload is structured around a limited number of consolidated court days per month

This is a modern, low-friction way to practice law with predictable income and minimal administrative burden.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $1, $2,500.00 per month
Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
