About the Role

Ticket Takedown is seeking a licensed North Carolina attorney for a part-time position focused exclusively on in person court appearances for traffic matters that have already been consolidated on one date per county — perfect for attorneys looking to earn additional income and gain courtroom experience without the administrative burden.

Our firm handles all administrative work — client communication, document preparation, filings, scheduling, and payments. You simply appear in court and represent the client to get a resolution offer from the District Attorney for their citation.

No paperwork. No client chasing. No office overhead.

Ideal for attorneys seeking flexible, supplemental income with a predictable and minimal workload outside of appearances.

What We Provide

  • Full administrative support: Our staff manages every aspect of each case.
  • Consistent, flexible hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week.
  • Technology-driven: Our proprietary platform automates client and court communication.
  • Training provided: No prior traffic law experience required.
  • Ongoing support: You'll always have our team's backing to ensure smooth appearances.

Responsibilities

  • Attend traffic hearings in North Carolina.
  • Review case summaries and preparation notes before appearances.
  • Negotiate plea offers, dismissals, or amendments when appropriate.
  • Maintain professional, ethical representation of clients.
  • (That's it — no administrative work required.)

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Bar license (required).
  • Strong communication skills and professional courtroom presence.
  • Reliable internet and comfort with in person hearings.
  • Traffic court or criminal defense experience preferred but not required.

Applicants will be considered if able to provide coverage over all or majority of the following counties in what we consider internally as

Region 4 – Eastern NC (Inner Coastal Plain + Northeast)

Counties:

Pitt, Wilson, Wayne, Lenoir, Greene, Edgecombe, Nash, Halifax, Northampton, Currituck, Pasquotank, Camden, Gates, Perquimans, Chowan, Hertford, Bertie, Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Beaufort, Hyde, Dare (Potentially)

Compensation: $1,500-$2500 per month based on coverage and experience.
