Tax Manager - Public Accounting Firm

We are a rapidly growing public accounting firm seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This position is geared towards a professional who wants to work directly with clients and is involved in their projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of accounting and tax projects for our diverse client base, while also contributing to the internal development of our growing firm. Key responsibilities include:

Client Accounting & Tax Services:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements for various entities.
  • Tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Providing accounting and tax consulting services to clients.
  • Performing research on complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Working Directly with clients

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Certification: Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
  • Experience with various accounting software and tax preparation platforms.
  • Experience leading and managing small teams

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in UltraTax CS, Quickbooks Online, and Google Workspace
  • Ability lead a small team and delegate tasks when necessary
