Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data | Business Analyst to join the Equity Operations team within a leading hedge fund environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of business analysis, data skills, and operational understanding to support the full project life cycle - from requirements gathering and design to testing, training, and production support. This role will also provide exposure to equity middle office operations, offering the opportunity to learn trade lifecycle oversight and enhance operational processes through technology and automation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, data analytics, or operations within financial services (hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank).
  • Proven experience writing BRDs, conducting UAT, managing implementation, and training end users.
  • Alteryx: 1+ years of hands-on experience building workflows and automations.
  • SQL: Proficient in at least one dialect (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake).
  • Strong understanding of SQL engine mechanics and ability to perform query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience with data visualization tools - Tableau (preferred), Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
  • Familiarity with UiPath or other RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, automation, or reporting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset toward process improvement.
