In this essential role, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, focused primarily on our month-end close process for our main fund and managed accounts. We're looking for someone who understands the nuances of various securities, including bonds, equities, and derivatives, and the intricate world of fund accounting behind them to be immediately effective. You'll apply your expertise in calculating Net Asset Values (NAVs), processing transactions, and preparing financial statements with precision and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the month-end close process for our main fund and managed accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply your strong understanding of various securities (bonds, equity, derivatives, etc.) to accurately account for transactions and valuations within the fund.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform essential tasks such as calculating Net Asset Values (NAVs), reconciling accounts, and managing expenses.
  • Actively participate in enhancing our internal accounting practices and procedures, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with our operations team, understanding the upstream and downstream impacts of fund accounting decisions.
  • Liaise with our Investor Relations team, assisting with inquiries and gaining insight into investor communications.
  • Support audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Take on ad-hoc analysis and projects that contribute to the overall success of the finance team and the firm.

Maintaining accurate shadow book and records of administrators, including all trade and non-trade relate activities from the Prime Brokers, Custodial Banks, Repo and ISDA counterparties.

· Prepare reconciliations of administrator's books and records and counterparties statements to the fund's internal shadow books. Review, research, identify and resolve discrepancies of cash, positions, trading and income pnl, pricing, corporate actions, dividends and market values.

· Assist in timely completion of fund's yearly Audit requirements, including ensuring the validity of yearly financial statements and distribution to Investors and 3rd parties as needed.

· Enhance and improve existing processes, continually developing solutions to identify and eliminate the source of differences.

· Work closely with the various internal teams for certain reporting requirements, including, Form PF, AIFMD, Annex IV, 13F, and other regulatory filings that may become necessary.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Fund Accounting, with a solid grasp of fund structures and investment products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of different types of securities (equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.) and their accounting treatment.
