Wooftown, a premium pet supply store in the West Village that is dedicated to dog nutrition is looking to hire a part-time Customer Service Associate for various day, evening and weekend shifts. We are seeking a friendly, career-oriented person with strong customer service skills who can grow with our expanding company.

10-20 hours per week to start.

Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 1-2 years related work experience in a retail environment (pet store experience an asset).
  • Must understand and have a genuine desire to enhance knowledge of dog and cat nutrition.
  • Excellent verbal communication – professional and polite phone and email manners. Face-to-face communication – must be able to engage easily in friendly conversation with new and existing customers.
  • Punctuality and time management and organizational skills (handling and organizing multiple tasks/duties, files).
  • Proficient understanding of Mac computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to lift and carry short distances 30-35lb at a time.
  • Duties include: provide dog and cat nutrition and product advice to customers, email and phone customers, schedule deliveries, keep up store appearance (dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.), some admin/paperwork, mind store unsupervised, open and close the store, receive shipments/supplier orders, some heavy lifting, continuous learning.
