Production Oversight

  • Work with production management teams to supervise and coordinate all aspects of food production to meet schedule requirements.
  • Monitor Production Management Software screens to track real-time batch progress and operator compliance. Training on our systems will be provided.
  • Ensure production processes are completed according to Production Management
  • Software-guided workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Respond quickly to out-of-spec conditions, operator errors, or equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting when possible.
  • Collaborate with production management to review batch reports and deviation logs for operator compliance, quality concerns or process improvements.
  • Ensure all Production Management Software data (e.g., ingredient lot numbers, deposit weights, batch yields, temperature logs) are complete and accurate for each production run - manually cross-checking data for consistency and accuracy.
  • Support production management with other daily tasks as necessary
  • Staff Supervision & Training
  • Check in with staff prior to shift start to ensure uniform compliance and assign locations
  • Ensure proper coverage and oversee staff positioning during production
  • Work with scheduling manager and HR department to resolve any personnel issues
  • Continuously monitor staff performance, providing feedback, guidance and assistance where needed to maintain efficiency
  • Guide production staff in the correct use of Production Management Software terminals, scanners, and batching equipment.
  • Reinforce adherence to Production Management Software and specification sheets during production.

SOP Compliance

  • Support the implementation of new SOPs or system updates by reviewing with team members accordingly.
  • Uphold full compliance with SQF standards and food safety protocols during all production shifts.
  • Use Production Management Software and spec sheets to enforce formula specifications, packaging specifications, and pallet configurations to reduce risk of deviation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with facility safety programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to management and maintenance teams

System Stewardship & Compliance

  • Work with production management and system administrators to ensure proper functioning of Production Management Software hardware and software.
  • Participate in the setup, review, and validation of formulas in Production Management Software.
  • Ensure that changes to recipes or procedures in Production Management Software are properly documented, reviewed, and communicated per SQF and SOPs.
  • Support the regular calibration and validation of Production Management Software-integrated equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Production Management Software configurations and formula management.
  • Communication & Leadership
  • Collect production line performance data to effectively communicate efficiency, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Liaise between production, QA, maintenance, operations, logistics, R&D, supply chain, and HR departments
  • Champion the use of Production Management Software as a tool for improving accountability, compliance, and operational visibility.
  • Perform job duties in a way that positively affects team culture and morale.
  • Communicate with all staff in a professional and respectful manner.
