The Compliance, Data, and Automation Bureau specializes in providing structural support of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), with an emphasis on the daily operations of the Human Resource Services Branch (HRSB). Through our Quality Assurance, Audits, Branch Operations, and ServiceNow teams, we advance the foundations of the Human Resources experience. Branch operations encompass the day-to-day activities and management of the Human Resource Services Branch's physical location, ensuring efficient and compliant processes, optimal customer service, and adherence to Branch business objectives, relevant regulations, industry standards, and CDSS policies.

The Branch Operations Unit is currently seeking a Staff Services Analyst (SSA) (General) (G) responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities and management of the Human Resource Service Branch (HRSB). The SSA G will train under the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) and act as Personnel Liaison and Branch coordinator between the HRSB and Departmental programs for various state, Departmental, and HRSB compliance programs. The analyst consults with internal and external business partners on all aspects of personnel and administrative management practices to ensure compliance with control agency, government, and legislative laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. This is an interchangeable position, and the SSA (G) will be hired in a training capacity and may advance to the AGPA level upon exceeding the standards of efficiency, successfully completing probation, and meeting the minimum qualifications.

  • Describe your experience in California State Civil Service. Include Human Resources/Personnel and/or Administration experience that has prepared you for this position.
